Kimber is a 4 1/2 year old Dutch Shepherd bred and born in the Netherlands. She was trained for On and Off Leash Obedience, and Imprinted in Narcotics Detection w/ Scent Logix by Southard K9's. She was then donated by Southard K9's to Det. Reece Southard in February of 2020 for duty with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force for Narcotics Interdiction. Det. Southard and K9 Kimber attended K9 Handler School and successfully completed the State of Ohio Special Purpose K9 Unit Evaluation on April 6, 2020. Kimber became an invaluable asset to Det. Southard in daily criminal and narcotics interdiction. Kimber was sworn in to the Minerva Park PD on February 19, 2021.
